‘Nudging’ change is better than ‘pushing’ it
‘Nudging’ change is better than ‘pushing’ it

Making change happen is central to care improvement and reducing risk. Every quality practitioner should have a toolkit, and one of the tools that needs to be in it is an effective change approach that helps people to get on board, supports behaviour change and re-sets organisational systems to sustain the change.

Changing how we change
Changing how we change

Continuous improvement is the essence of clinical governance. But continuous improvement requires change, and change can be confronting. As we predictably move towards a more digitised world - including in healthcare, and aged care – change is also inevitable.

What are the ingredients for successful change in complex adaptive systems?
What are the ingredients for successful change in complex adaptive systems?

What do we know about change in complex adaptive systems? How do we prepare for optimal outcomes, how do we ensure we’ve considered and applied tools and strategies for success and is there any new and emerging thinking we need to consider?

With a background in psychology and organisational change and drawing on her extensive cross-sector insights in leading and adopting change in complex and varied systems, Aviva Bezon will help us get to the bottom of what we need to consider (no matter what your system throws at you!), why it’s important, and the practical side of how you too can step back into your own settings with the tools to set your change initiative up for success.

Rethinking Army Health - Navigating a once in a lifetime change
Rethinking Army Health - Navigating a once in a lifetime change

Army Health has undergone a once in a lifetime review of its capabilities and governance with the view of redesigning its overarching organisational structure, (clinical) governance systems, processes, and workforce such that it is ready to face and meet future objectives and challenges.
Known as the Capability Establishment Review (CER), it is now at the stage of widespread implementation resulting in significant People, Process and Place redesign.

LTCOL Kelly Dunne was tasked with design, oversight, planning and execution of the CER and has a deep understanding of what it takes to plan and navigate this level of change through the complex, adaptive system of Army Health.

Why aged care must digitise
