Strengthening BYOD Security in Hospitals: A Sociotechnical Approach
The use of personal devices in healthcare—commonly known as Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)—is on the rise. While BYOD can boost clinician productivity and flexibility, it also introduces significant cybersecurity risks.
A recent study published in JMIR Human Factors explored this challenge and developed a BYOD Security Maturity Model tailored for hospitals. The findings provide a roadmap for improving security without compromising usability.
