How to develop yourself as a clinical governance leader

Any leadership course will tell you that anyone can be a leader, regardless of their job title. While this is true to an extent, clinical governance leadership demands an added layer of influence — the ability to shape safety, quality, and culture across an organisation.
The shift from clinical governance manager to leader is about influencing systems and people, not just managing compliance. Developing yourself as a clinical governance leader requires both depth and breadth: a deep understanding of governance principles, and a broad capacity to influence others to apply them in practice.
